It’s been a while, been busy. Rhyn keeps trying to get me to take the ship and just leave. I like my crew mates. Yes even the Vesk. She’s nicer then the ones we grew up with. I do agree with him on one point though, I have a feeling we are being monitored. Our first two delivery trips for this guy has ended up pretty much the same way. Everyone there is gone. Just gone. Once is a situation, twice may be coincidence, three times is a pattern. I don’t want to make this a pattern. On our last delivery we discovered something very, very bad. We decided to tell someone who could stop the Corpse Fleet from accessing and using a very dangerous weapon. They gave us an investigation mission and some credits. Otherwise, everything is going well, new, faster, more agile ship, and two very good weapons. The rifle has some very good uses.

Long Week
It turns out they weren’t after us, unfortunately it means the Bone Fleet was here. Very, very bad. It’ll be a few more days before we can leave, and now we have a job to do first. On top of everything, we need to rescue several Ysoki from some mindless monster. I forget what they called it, but it sounds bad.
*Sigh*
It’s going to be a long week.
Fail-Safe
Spent the last couple of days working on a program for the computer system the others are getting. Of course they come back a mess. When I mentioned a shower they decided to smear some of the gunk on me. It was funny. Now we’re all going out for a few drinks. I keep finding myself distracted by my program. It’s kind of a different way of securing the ship. We’ll have the basic security protocols, but I’m attempting to put in a fail-safe. I give the proper command and the entire system switches to abyssal, and all security protocols are reset. If I do this right the individual(s) trying to take over the ship, or hack the program, will first need to understand the language. I’ve only met two or three people who do. Rhyn knows. I hope the software works. We’ll see what happens. That’s for later. Right now, it’s drinks, stories, and maybe a little adventure. Rhyn is right about one thing. I spend too much time at the computer, and not enough time socializing.
Finally, Akiton
That was harder then it should have been. I was asked to watch the ship. This seems to be a regular thing, but I can definitely use it to my advantage. It turns out the woman wasn’t really abducted, just had to get away from the corporation she works for. It’s a common enough occurrence. The abduction was just to keep the corporation from searching for her. Someone wanted her, because as I was looking over the hull I was knocked out. I came to in engineering and found myself in the middle of a fire fight. Bring as I’m the best pilot on this ship, I ran to the bridge and took over the controls. I got us away from our attackers and we started the four-day flight to Akiton. Good thing I’m learning the language. Then we find out someone planted an electrovore egg behind a panel. About half way through the thing hatched and started chewing on the wiring of my ship. The traps didn’t work, but we did eventually kill it. If I get some time and supplies I’m going to upgrade and maybe set up a system of monitors in areas where we can’t easily explore.
Planning for something stupid
I think we are about to do something very stupid. The worst part is Rhyn has vanished, again. He has a bad habit of doing that. He’ll just vanish. I never see him go. I don’t understand how he does it. One second he’s there, I turn around, and he’s gone. I hope he gets back safe, and soon.
We figured out who took the woman, I’m fairly sure they were hired to get her and take her to the people who are holding her. We are going to attempt to join a card game and get some information. I fear it’s going to turn into a fire fight, just when we need to really keep a low profile.
*Sigh* Let’s get this over with.
