While the PDSU gets upgrades, the crew heads down to the lower levels for a job capturing a family of tashtari (aka Castrovel laser wolves). The crew finds amazing quantities of asteroid lice on Level 78, and attempts to work around them. Later, the crew is tired of lice setting off traps, so Rae lowers the sensitivity. Then they find a colony of electrovores, clearing them out of a mechanical room, and then preventing major electrical problems. And later still, they meet up with the tashtari with mixed results. Even later, the crew turns in juvenile tashtari and fines out they can get payment for elecrovores as well. They knock out two more wolves that Widget found, and Widget gets a few chew marks in the ensuing combat. The crew also learns that the creatures down in the tunnels are in use by some bad maintenance people.
