We went back to Level 21 and got the lady, who calls herself Felicia. We take a very long time sneaking through maintenance tunnels and climbing up ladders to get her to the Astral Queen without being seen. It didn’t matter– the bad guys were waiting at the ship! They snuck up on that cat guy, we guess, because he won’t answer Lexx with his psycho-summons thingy. So, we shoot our way through five guys in Station maintenance clothes and get in the ship just as alarms start to blare. We find Ash sleeping in a box near an airlock, so Widget gets to be engineer while I’m stuck being pilot. I don’t mind the piloting part though, because Lexx stays with me and Sresaka gets ready to shoot our way out of orbit. Felicia offers to be Science Officer, so we have a full complement, even if one of us is sleeping on the job. We manage to get off Absalom Station, but a small ship detaches after we leave and starts to shoot at us!
Crew Personal Logs
Diaries of the crew on this mission.
But the queens we use would not excite you.
We got to Level 21 (no thanks to Widget, who could not get a single camera to talk to him) safely, and into the night club, the Fusion Queen. And we even got to talk to the “kidnappers,” and we may have ruined their card game, again. They took us to their leader, who had a pretty convincing story of what had really happened with the lady they escorted from the taxi. She needs to get off the station thanks to some bad people at her workplace. And… when the escorts found out we can man/rat a starship, they gave us one to use, the Astral Queen, and we get to sneak the lady off to Akiton! I haven’t been there in ages. I wish this wasn’t such a secret mission, as I’d like to visit some family while home, if possible!
These aren’t the droids you’re looking for. . . .
We went back to the robot bar and talked to the crew that took the lady. I thought everyone was going to shoot each other under the table where we met, but the kidnapping guys were pretty nice (Lexx was being scary– I might have been the only one there that wasn’t scary!). They called themselves “an escort” rather than kidnappers, and I think they believe that, so something else is going on here that we weren’t told about. They suggested talking to some guys from one of the lower levels of the Station– I think we get to go to a nightclub! Hopefully with food.
Also, we keep seeing big “Wanted” images of Lexx and Ash for doing something bad at the taxi place. How were they even there long enough to break that many laws?
Planning for something stupid
I think we are about to do something very stupid. The worst part is Rhyn has vanished, again. He has a bad habit of doing that. He’ll just vanish. I never see him go. I don’t understand how he does it. One second he’s there, I turn around, and he’s gone. I hope he gets back safe, and soon.
We figured out who took the woman, I’m fairly sure they were hired to get her and take her to the people who are holding her. We are going to attempt to join a card game and get some information. I fear it’s going to turn into a fire fight, just when we need to really keep a low profile.
*Sigh* Let’s get this over with.
Round and Round
Oh, so many things happened! Lexx got to play some games with Derp, a handsome ysoki who gave him information about the lady when Lexx won a game of chance, and found out that the lady was last seen with three Augments, and Derp knew who they were and where they would likely be. I wouldn’t have minded visiting longer, but once we got the info we took off to the Click-Clack Club and Lexx talked to the big dragonkin owner, who said the augments (two humans and a lashunta) we were looking for were in one of the rooms playing games. I wanted to stay and eat something, and Widget wanted to stay, too. But the new cat guy wanted to eat across the street, and so did Lexx, so Sre and I went along. We had a lot of good sandwiches that I had to pay for, and sat watching the Club and I didn’t really know why since we knew where the kidnappers were and I think it would be safer to talk to them at the Club. So, we are going back to the Club.
