The Please Don't Shoot Us and the Vantage arrive at L746 and immediately encounter a Corpsefleet Pale Butcher scout ship above the planet.... And eventually annihilate it. After repairs are made to both ships, the crews unite on the planet surface. They enter the pyramid and explore, eventually finding the camp of an expedition, including the diary of Frank Pabodie, with the harrowing description of the death of Elizabeth Lake. Our heroes also discover there are five pyramids onnthe planet, and the elevators in the pyramids go do several levels to massive caverns containing lifeforms. The combined crews descended in the elevator a few floors, coming out in catacombs that held rows of tall metal cylinders. Upon inspection, it appeared that the cylinders were made to hold creatures in a deep sleep, but for what purpose is still unknown. Later, the crews managed to turn off some guardian orbs, allowing them to explore several more levels via the elevator.
